Position Open: Associate Dir. of Facilities Management & Planning

Lane Community College is seeking an Associate Director of Facilities Management and Planning.  

Required Experience:  Bachelor's degree in business administration, facilities management, engineering, architecture, or a related field OR four years of experience in addition to the minimum required experience.

Required Experience:  Five years of experience in facilities maintenance and operations including team leadership for at least two years.  A current, valid driver's license.

Preferred Education:  APPA Certification, LEED accreditation, and/or other professional certifications related to facilities management.  Additional years of higher education or degree beyond Bachelor’s. 

Preferred Experience:  Experience with implementing safety programs.  Experience with computerized maintenance management systems. Demonstrated skills in an intuitional/educational environment utilizing a customer-oriented and service-centered approach.  Multicultural experience and bilingual proficiency is preferred.  A demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance the concepts of social justice and cultural competent behaviors is expected.

Equivalency Statement:  Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered for meeting minimum qualifications.  Applicants are responsible to show how their personal training and experience would qualify them for the position.

Position Purpose:  Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities Management and Planning, this position has direct responsibility for managing a comprehensive facility maintenance and repair program for campus buildings and utility infrastructure.  Additional position responsibilities include emergency planning, compliance with facilities-related regulations (such as OSHA, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Fire Code, and Integrated Pest Management), security (electronic and manual lock systems and alarms), moves, event set ups, waste management, and fleet maintenance.
